We headed out to the zoo today after mom got her oil changed. She says that the "mechanic" is like a doctor for cars. I didn't even know our car was sick! On the way to the zoo we listened to my new Kindermusik CD called the "Zoo Train Adventures". It was a great way to warm up to the day and, BOY! Did it ever get warm?! So, we rode the train a bit and then headed indoors to the Insect Zoo.

We took a train ride before the Insect Zoo and after we visited the Insect Zoo. I ate my lunch on our last train ride. It was a nice day for a train ride!

Here I am enjoying some "Bobs" (grape tomatoes) on my train ride.

Mom let me take a little green friend on the train with me. I had to make sure he didn't hop out!

"All Aboard!"

Taking a short rest before I played my heart out at the Insect Zoo!

I really enjoyed the magnetic story board with all different types of bugs! I made up fun stories about what each bug did and where they lived.

I tried on some PINK butterfly wings with help from another kid at the "Bug Puppet Theater", where I spend MOST of my time.

I took an occasional break from the puppet theater to play with other bugs. I got pretty good with these "bug tongs".

"Lots and lots of puppets!"

Me and the Lightning Bug put on a puppet show for Mom.

Check out my STINGER in the back!

Buzzzzzz! I tried on a Bee costume.

I made a catepillar craft with Mom. Well, mom did most of the work, but I put on the googly eyes!

I really got good at using that magnifying glass! Now, where did that ant go . . . .

Mom, your head looks HUGE in this thing!

Just restin' on the "Nani-size seat" as I called it.

Bugs, bugs everywhere!

. . . . and some pretty butterflies, too.

These life-size ants were crawling all over the vents in the bug zoo.

Mom got kind of hungry. Man, she's fierce lookin' when she's hungry, eh???
