Friends at the Zoo!

Today has been lots of fun so far! As soon as I woke up, my neighbor came over to play for the whole day! We decided to go to the zoo.

We liked watching the people on the zip-line course called "ZoomAir". Here we are on the bench watching people climb around on the course. One of them even zipped right over us while we were riding on the train! We also spent some time at the Bug Zoo, where we did puzzles, played with bug and butterfly puppets and even did some puzzles. Here's my neighbor doing the butterfly puzzle.

We really liked riding the train together and had some snacks while we rode around. We also stopped to have our picture made in front of the wild turkeys because mom thought it was befitting that a couple of cute little wild turkeys should have their pictures made with some real wild turkeys . . . but the real turkeys didn't cooperate as much as we did and scooted out of the picture pretty quickly.

We checked out the herpetarium filled with snakes, frogs and other reptiles. My neighbor's favorite thing seemed to be the blue poison dart frogs, but I really liked the "Tomato Frog". On our way to see the elephants we stopped to feed the dinosaur a snack of leaves and pine needles. We even held hands along the boardwalk as we were walking there (below).

We stopped to see the elephants, Mary and Maude. They were just getting ready to eat their breakfast (hay) so we decided it was time for more snacks. We spread out a little picnic and ate some snacks with Mary and Maude. However, unlike the elephants, we did not put our snacks on our head or on our backs . . . only in our bellies!

The porcupine exhibit was closed, so we stopped to pet the pretend porcupines instead.

We enjoyed our time at the bug zoo and then went out for 2 rides on the carousel and a train ride. We ate our lunch at the zoo and then headed out to Seminole Town Center to play for a few minutes on the indoor playground there. Then, it was time to head home for a nap. Busy day! Lots of fun!

A Visit to the Northland Children's Library

We started out in the bookstore at Northland, but then we wandered into their Children's Library. What a treasure! I had such fun. After that, we headed up to the mall and ate some lunch and played on the indoor playground.

Publix and Chick-fil-a Today

Today we had a nice day. I went with Mom to the grocery store. She let me bring a blanket to use as a "seat" in the grocery cart, but I really liked riding with it in the car on the way to the store!
Then, I saw some Puffin Cereal at the store that I really wanted. Mom decided to spoil me (since it was organic) and put it in the cart. She should have remembered to get a picture of my face when she put it in the cart because I was . . . . "soooo happy". :)
I was so well behaved in the grocery store that not only did I get a balloon (an orange one), I got to go to Chick-fil-a for lunch! Miss Carolyn was there to paint faces, so mom put my name on the waiting list and just as soon as I was done eating my 4 chicken nuggets (and a few fries), Miss Carolyn called my name for a turn at face paint.
She painted some pretty flowers (pink, white and green to match my outfit) and put some glitter on there so they would sparkle.
Mom let me play on the slide and the jungle gym even though it was crowded with big kids. I loved it. I went down the slide 3 times and I took my shoes off and put them in the cubby holes all by myself.
It was a fun morning and I was happy, energetic and well-behaved all morning long! That was hard work, now it's time for a nap.
