Daddy Daughter Dance

Finally, I agreed to take a few "pre-dance" pictures. Don't I look so happy?? Then, we headed out to the dance. I saw my friend, Paige and her dad at the dance, too. The best part of the dance we getting to eat lots of sweets (like yummy cotton candy) and the balloon animals. I got a "pink puppy" balloon.

On Friday night, I went with my dad to our first Daddy/Daughter Dance at our church. It was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of my dress. We bought pink, sparkly shoes to go with the dress and mom made me a corsage to wear on my wrist. I was not really "into" taking pictures before the dance - I just wanted to GO!

Dad's home! To the zoo!

Hooray! Hooray! Dad at the zoo today! We started out watching the tortises eat a "salad" (no pictures, though. Too many kids around), and then we headed over to see the elephants!

We walked through the zoo and went straight to the elephants, Mary and Maude. I like to run and play in the pavillion by the elephants. It's so much fun to have dad at the zoo!

After we walked through the zoo we got to ride the carousel and take a train ride. It was the first time dad had ridden the zoo train . . . and the first time he had ridden a tortise as well! We ate a picnic lunch near the big tortise statue.

Kid's Gym Today!

After Kid's Gym, mom had to run some errands so she bought me a reward for behaving so well inside the stores. it's a butterfly pop! Mmmmm . . . blue tastes good!

My favorite part of Kid's Gym is the dancing! We got to dance with streamers today!

I look kind of sneaky here. I'm looking around to make sure nobody gets my yellow, bumpy ball!

I wanted to get inside the foam, rolling barrel,

but I didn't want anyone to roll me around inside of it!

The slide is always fun . . and always full of static electricity! It makes my pig tails stand up!

Finally, mom had a chance to let someone else record my progress on the monkey bars. Usually, she has to spot me (just in case), so she can't record me and spot at the same time! I've been able to do these monkey bars on my own for about 2-3 weeks now. Yay!

Home at last!

On the ride home from Kid's Gym, we shared a snack. I shared some goldfish with Paige and she shared her fruit leather (dried fruit) with me. It was yummy! We watched a little Maisy Mouse on the way home, too. At home we ate lunch and took turns making some of the sounds we heard in our stories at storytime. "Eeeek!" for the mouse, "Awww" for the kitten, and "Oooouch!" for the porcupine. We played "near" each other for the rest of the morning, until it was time for a nap! I love having my friend, Paige come over to play!

Paige went right for the piggy bank (smart girl, save your pennies!) and after I played with the farm a bit, I had to roll around on the ball for awhile.

For lunch, I got to sit in a "big girl seat" just like Paige! Yummy fruit!

Trampoline and Tapping Sticks!

Tapping sticks is my favorite game/song at "Hop Hop", and I was so happy that we got to do this one today with Paige!! We tap our sticks, hold them in the air, roll them on the floor, and (my favorite) make bunny ears with them!
Paige did a great job tapping her tapping sticks! (Mommy didn't do such a great job avoiding the red-eye with her camera, though)

Here we go again! More tapping . . . .

We all got to jump on the "BIG" trampoline, but mom couldn't get pictures of that. She was too busy playing referee and keeping Paige and me from falling off the trampoline. So, later on, Paige got to do some jumping on the little trampoline while mom took some pictures. (There's just no way to get really good jumping pictures, but Paige sure had a lot of fun!)
