Hello everyone! I wanted to share with the entire world that we have been blessed with a son. Wesley Michael entered this world on March 28. It was a Monday evening about 5:15 when Mom began having contractions a few days early (due date was April 17th). We asked Daddy Ron to travel down to watch Natalie and borrowed his car for our trip to the hospital. We arrived around 7pm and watched a little Family Guy on TV while we waited for our turn to be seen. When we got into the room with Nurse Gail, Mom was strapped up with the fetal heart and contraction monitors. I guess there is a new rule that they have to have twenty minutes of recorded data before the nurse can check you out. Well after twenty minutes they checked and Mom was 70% ready. They frantically rushed her in the bed up to delivery. The Anesthesiologist took her sweet time going over the questions and more questions (which I pretty sure they ask the same ones at least nine times, assuming their computers do not utilize a network and cannot share the same data) and then proceeded to give the pain medicine next door. She said she would be back, but in turn that would not matter, baby was not going to wait. So without our doctor or meds the baby started to come. We received a resident Doctor and several giggling nurses and out came Wesley. He weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces. Our Doctor walked in as Wesley was being delivered and took care of Mom. Wesley's sugar level was low with a 37 (minimum needed was 45) so after some hellos and a feeding he was sent to a transitional nursery for a couple hours until his level reached 50. He then returned to us for the two day hospital visit.
