The Splash Pad opens!

What a morning! After I woke up, I had to go through my morning ritual of playing in my crib for awhile, then reading some stories with Mom. She changed me into my play clothes, had some blueberry waffle and sausage and we headed out to story time at the library. I really wanted Grandpa (who's staying with us this week) to come with us, but he decided to stay home for his own story time called "Paint-these-doors-and-fix-these-hinges".
I don't have pictures of story time, but it was a fun day! We read a story about being a big sister (hmm. . . that sounded fun) and there was a puppet show about a tortoise and a snail. I danced to "Shake my sillies out" and then we checked out some new books. "Ready, Set, Skip" and "Day out with Daddy". I immediately wanted to go home to read stories with Grandpa and Daddy, but Mom dragged me to the stupid splash pad park to meet Jacob and Ms. Shana. I didn't have one bit of fun (as you can see). I scraped my knee, it was windy and chilly, and I wanted to go home as soon as we got there . . . well, maybe not right away. I finally made Mommy leave about an hour and a half after we got there. I ordered her to go straight home so I could have pizza for lunch with Grandpa. (He ate a tuna sandwich, but that was okay with me as long as he was sitting at the table with me).
We read some stories ("Time for Naps") and then I went to bed for awhile. Now, I am awake and ready for the afternoon!

Monday Lunch 3/23/09

I love cake!!

Butterfly lunch! Chicken nugget wings, snap pea grass and antennae, and cheese body! Yum! I ate every bite!

Is there anything more fun than pink play-doh!?

Monday Morning 3/23/09

Today was my first day back to Kid's Gym since our trip to Naples last week. We played with "shaky" eggs and I loved climbing the purple rock wall and riding the roller coaster in the Little Gym today. At the end of class, I got to do my favorite dance - the Chicken Dance!!!

We played "potato sack" race on the tumble track. It was a lot of fun!

Manic Monday 3/16/09 - Part II!

We played one of my favorite games at Hop Hop today. It's called "bounce the frog". We put little bean bag frogs on a bouncy ball and drop the ball. Then, the frog magically HOPS! It's great fun and it makes me laugh.
As I was playing in the bounce house, I jumped down and hurt my ankle. I was limping the rest of the morning so mom took me to see the doctor, but the doctor said everything was fine. I might have an ugly bruise on my foot, but I will be ok! Yay!

At "Hop Hop", I got to play in the bounce house. It was a lot of fun. I liked pretending the red, blow-up posts were horses. Giddyap!

Today started out with some hard work! Mom made me get out bed, get into my leotard for Kid's Gym and then I had to feed my baby some breakfast. She likes vanilla yogurt.

Manic Monday 3/16/09

As you can see from one of the pictures below, I was a little sick over the weekend and for most of Saturday I didn't feel like doing much except laying around watching Sesame Street with my "sleepytime friends" (blanket, pacifier, and little pink sock). However, mom and dad helped me to concentrate on things other than my illness by taking me to the farmer's market (I love the park and seeing all the puppies), taking me out for yogurt, and of course doing a little shopping! I felt better in no time!
Check out my new sunglasses and flip flops! I'm ready for the beach!
Mmmmm! Cotton candy flavored yogurt! It tastes best if you eat it with the little sample-sized spoon!

Even though I really, really, . . . really didn't need it, dad bought me another ball at Target. Hooray! Now I have a blue one and a pink one!

Watching a little boob tube with my "sleepytime friends".

Daddy's beard is really tickly!

Wild Wednesday/Thursday 3-12-09

When we got home from the park, I lathered up in sunscreen and tried out my "new" bathing suit in the baby pool. What do you think?

Bottle brush flowers are tickly!

What a coincidence! Look who was at the park today! Hi Paige!

We went to the park Thursday morning. I played on the slides and played with the flowers. I also practiced my "raspberry" skills a little bit. See? Aren't you glad it's a picture and you're not in the "splash zone"?

Dad was really wanting some KFC, so we went out for dinner this week. I liked the chicken, but mostly I liked eating the corn on the cob. It's my favorite vegetable.

It's "Wild West" week at Kid's Gym this week, so we had lots of fun playing horseshoes, riding a pretend bull, and even singing "She'll be comin' around the mountain" while riding my own pink horsey! It was lots of fun.
Time for "Bye Bye Ball" and "Thunder" at the end of the class.
Almost nothing is more fun than a ball with a "jingle" sound inside of it!
. . . except maybe riding my own pink horsey!!
I really like storytime. This week we read If You Give a Moose a Muffin and Lucky Me, but the best part about storytime is the dancing!!

Community Night at the Jacksons' House

Our neighbors hosted a community night at their house this past weekend. A bunch of moms, dads and kids met up to play outside and enjoy some food and fellowship together. It was a lot of fun. Here are some favorite pictures from the evening.
I love my Daddy!

Look at this great flower Miss Renee painted on my face! She painted up some kids to look like cheetahs, spiders, and even puppy dogs! What a talented mom!

Peek-a-boo Pop-up Tent!

Trying to get 12 kids under 6 years old to pose for a picture is no easy task, but Miss Carole used the "Simon Says" game to help us be still. It worked out pretty well!

Here we are playing a little duck, duck, goose!

Here I am with Miss Renee's daughter, Olivia, participating in my very first 3-legged race!

Tigey and me playing in the tunnel

Sidewalk chalk is always fun!
